Who we are

Jim and Tom began working together at a hardware store in high school, graduated from KU together, and stayed in Lawrence to raise our families. We love our work and enjoy planning large and small projects. With 30 years of residential remodeling experience, we have the know-how to tackle your home remodeling needs.

Tom began his career as a teacher and used his summer breaks to buy old houses and restore them. He also spent time working in cabinet shops and with multiple contractors in different trades, honing his skills and knowledge. Tom has extensive knowledge of turn-of-the-century homes and their issues.

Jim started his career in the print industry, managing employees and maintaining a fleet of pneumatic and hydraulic machinery. He has a background in residential electrical work and carpentry. He has worked as a lead and as a subcontractor on many construction and remodeling projects in Lawrence, Kansas, and surrounding areas. Jim has extensive knowledge of deck building and carpentry.

We have a wide skill set and love being creative and problem-solving. Call or email us to set up a free estimate for the project at your house.
